nelson mandela peace fellowship

(student exchange programme)

The Nelson Mandela Peace Fellowship, a student exchange programme, was initiated by the C.A.S. School in 2004 with participating schools in Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka. Offered to students of Class 9, its main focus is for C.A.S. students to become familiar with and have respect for different cultures, societies and traditions.

When on the exchange programme, C.A.S. students are hosted by parents of participating schools. In turn, when students from India and Sri-Lanka visit Karachi, they are hosted by C.A.S. parents. The visiting children attend classes at the C.A.S. during their two-week visit to Karachi, and enjoy making new friends, eating Pakistani food and sight-seeing.
