evening of rhythm & rhyme

The Evening of Rhythm and Rhyme, held every year in January, is an annual event for students of Class 11. Over the years, it has taken on a more expansive dimension in terms of content and quality of performance.

At the beginning of the academic year, all students from Class 11 are given the option to sign up for participation. This is followed by early morning sessions focused on vocal training, listening experiences and discussion of poetry. This is also the auditioning period in which students are assigned songs and poems for the final performance. These sessions present an opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage of Urdu poetry and music of the subcontinent as well as their own singing and musical talents.

On the final day, when the Evening of Rhythm & Rhyme takes place, a formal presentation is made by the participating students, accompanied by ustaads, in the Audio-visual room of the Main Campus.
