The C.A.S. has a strong sporting tradition. Sports activities are conducted and supervised by six faculty members. After-school training camps for various games and athletics are held regularly.

The school plays at both the Inter-house and Inter-school levels. The C.A.S. School has the following teams:

These teams represent the C.A.S. in highly competitive tournaments like the Karachi Inter-School Sports League (KISSL) Tournament, and tournaments organized by the Aga Khan University, Foundation Public School (FPS), Haque Academy, National Championship for Athletics, and Sindh Games.

Students of the Rowing module participate regularly in national and international rowing regattas. The Rowing Team has represented the school and the country in competitions at various locations worldwide:

  • Karachi Boat Club Interschool Rowing Regatta – Indoor & Water Events
  • Association of Schools Rowing in Asia (ASRA) Rowing Regatta (Dubai, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Pakistan)
  • Amateur Rowing Association of the East – Far East Amateur Rowing Association (ARAE-FEARA) Rowing Regatta (Sri Lanka)
  • Karachi Vs Colombo Rowing Regatta (Sri Lanka)
  • South East Asian Rowing Federation (SEARF) Regatta (Singapore)

Students taking the Tennis and Swimming modules have participated, with other schools and organizations, in events such as:

  • Sindh Women’s Swimming Championship, organized by the Karachi Women Swimming Association
  • Inter School Tennis Championship, organized by Perfect Strokes

 

2016 Singapore Rowing Regatta

The C.A.S. school team of thirteen rowers from classes 7 – 10 participates in the 2016 Asia II Rowing Championship and the School Rowing Regatta. Organized by the Singapore Rowing Association, it was held in Singapore from 26 to 31 July 2016. Taha Abdul Rehman, Zayd Humair, Abdullah Ahmed and Hamzah Omer Sheikh won the bronze medal in the Boys Fours 1000m.

The rowing team included Aariz Samdani, Abdullah Ahmed, Ahmed Zubair Baweja, Alizeh Kazmi, Hamzah Omer Sheikh, Mohammad Ammar, Myra Khan, Syeda Areej Amir, Taha Abdul Rehman, Tara Vera Ahmed, Umme Hani Aamir Mandviwala, Zayd Humair and Muhammad Zurain.
